If you dont feel like doing that, basically, People magazine has partnered up with MLB and has created a search, which is now finished, to find the sexiest fan of a baseball team in America. Worst of all, he is a Red Sox Fan.

What has the world come to, now that we are paying more attention to stupid Boston fans and not the necessities of science and healtcare?

Just read this and ... well, I'll let you decide:

"You probably know about his 4-for-47 slump and his streak of 14 games without an RBI, but this is the most telling stat: Since Game 4 of the 2004 ALCS - the night Boston began its epic comeback from three games down against the Yankees - Rodriguez has come to the plate with 38 runners on base, over the span of 59 at-bats. He left every single one on base, going 0-for-27, right through the Yanks' Division Series loss to Cleveland this month."

He left every single runner on base. Pathetic. Lets see loser Scott Boras blame this on Mariano.

Unfortunately, I saw every single one of them, and he's still worth $250 mil.

Hey guys, Happy Halloween

Some encouraging news via SI.com regarding Andy Pettitte's status for 2008:

"The New York Yankees committed an awful lot of money to me and put it in my hands, gave me a player option and trusted me with that option," Pettitte said in a story posted on Houston television station KRIV's Web site. "It probably wouldn't be real honorable for me not to do anything other than if I shut it down, shut it down or go back and play for the New York Yankees."

I'm not exactly going out on a limb when I say this team NEEDS Andy Pettitte in 2008 and I'm very glad to see following Torre and Co. to the Dodgers is not an option. Imagine that, a ballplayer with integrity.

Rudy Giuliani Commits Crime

BOSTON -In an act of baseball blasphemy, Yankee die-hard Rudy Giuliani said Tuesday he's pulling for the Boston Red Sox to win the World Series over the Colorado Rockies.

I'm rooting for the Red Sox," the Republican presidential contender said in response to a question, sparking applause at the Boston restaurant where he was picking up a local endorsement.

"I'm an American League fan, and I go with the American League team, maybe with the exception of the Mets," he said. "Maybe that would be the one time I wouldn't because I'm loyal to New York."

I wonder how Randy Levine will explain this to Steinbrenner? They have practically built a shrine to Giuliani in the Bronx whenever he shows up to a game and now he's rooting for the Red Sox to win it all.

I mean, no true Yankee fan would ever root for Boston and visa versa. I have a ton of Red Sox friends and we always have a good time when the teams play, but I tell you this is one flop I thought he'd never take and I hope the stadium faithful let him have it when he shows up next season...

Can a true Yankee fan ever root for the Red Sox to win the World Series?

Wow, this is pathetic, even he wants them to win because he knows the Rockies don't have a chance.

Thank you Joe. These last twelve years have been incredible. I've had meaningful baseball through the dog days of summer since you've been in Pinstripes. The Yanks have won four World Championships, been in six World Series and made the playoffs twelve straight years. I've seen some of the greatest baseball in my life and also witnessed some bitter defeats, but when you're in it every year that's what happens.
I'm sad to see you go. I thought he had taken the offer (thanks media) so when he turned it down I was stunned. I hope he'll be candid (he usually takes the high road) when he tells us why he declined, but it's not hard to figure out. I do think that Cashman seemed a bit shocked also in the conference call. No other manager would have made it to the post season this year after all the injuries and the horrible signings to the pitching staff. And it was a cowardly move to cut his salary! Screw you Levine: “We just think it’s important to motivate people,” Randy Levine said.

Did Joe sign or trade for Farnsworth, Viz, Igawa, Wright, Brown, Sturtze, Meyers, Vazquez, Felix Rodriguez, Steve Karsay, Wayne Franklin, Alan Embree, Buddy Groom, Gabe White, C.J. Bob Sheppard: Out of Lineup

The New York Yankees announced today that public address announcer Bob Sheppard will be unable to attend 2007 Division Series games at Yankee Stadium due to a bronchial infection. He will be replaced by longtime backup Jim Hall.
Sheppard is in his 57th season as public address announcer at Yankee Stadium. His forthcoming absence will snap a streak of working 121 consecutive postseason games at Yankee Stadium, including 62 games in 22 World Series. His postseason streak began on Oct. 4, 1951, in Game 1 of the World Series vs. the New York Giants. The lineups that day included Joe DiMaggio, Phil Rizzuto, Yogi Berra and rookies Mickey Mantle and Willie Mays.

"Doctors are monitoring my progress," Sheppard said. "And I am hoping to get back to Yankee Stadium to watch-and announce-Yankees playoff games long into October."

Sheppard's first game as Yankees public address announcer was on Opening Day, April 17, 1951, as the Yankees defeated the Boston Red Sox, yeah that's right, 5-0.

Getting Closer...

What is up with the game times for they Yankees and Indians series. Used to the late 8:30 starts, I was surprised with the schedule during the 5 and 6 o'clock time. The shadows will affect fly balls and I wouldnt be surprised if some balls are lost because of them.

Here is the 5 game series at a glance, courtesy of LoHud:

Game 1 @ Cleveland Thursday .6:30 p.m.
Game 2 @ Cleveland Friday ...5:00 p.m.
Game 3 @ New York Sunday ....6:00 p.m.
Game 4 @ New York Monday ....6:00 p.m.
Game 5 @ Cleveland Oct. 10 ..5:00 p.m.

Now, because of the time changes, hopefully watching the games earlier will help me get my homework done, instead of doing it at 1 in the morning after the 5 hour Yankees Redsox game.

Unfortunately, there will probably never be a Playoff game played during the day because of the lack of viewers and FOX just has to get the most viewers at once, so they couldnt put it on the same block as Sunday football. So basically, this moving up of game starting times will get us closer to the playoff day game era

A year ago, he pitched in three of the four ALDS games. Yesterday, the Yankees told him to go home, opting to not include the right-handed reliever around like they did with Ross Ohlendorf, Chris Britton and Jose Veras.

Actually, I'm quite happy that he's not on the team and probably won't be a Yankee next year because he so damn inconsistent.

Wang Gets Game 1 Nod

Hey everyone, sorry for the long wait.

How about the Yankees hitting around in the fourth inning of Saturday's game. This walloping was against no other than Daniel Cabrera, who pitches every time the Orioles play the Yankees. They batted around without recording an out, and that is pretty hard to do when you have a bunch of rookies and the terrible Bobby Abreu.

The Yanks won in the end after an appearance from Jose Veras which was, even though they are in the playoffs, very shaky.

Concerning they Yankees playoff run, Chien-Ming Wang will go Game 1 at Cleveland. Here is a quote from Wang:

"They're a good team, but the Yankees are better."

I could not agree more. This game will take place either Wednesday or Thursday, depending on the National League Wild Card chase. The selection marks the second consecutive year that the 26-year-old right-hander has started the opener of a postseason series, having defeated the Tigers in last year's ALDS to log New York's only victory in the four games against Detroit.

Here's a quote from the manager, Joe Torre:

"There's something very unusual about this guy in the fact that he's handled stress and pressure very well."

It is amazing how cool Wang is under pressure and can always be that dominating pitcher with the power sinker and mix of other pitches, which also have a natural tail or drop.

iPhone Sneak Peaks

Over the past year, I have been a huge fan of the Late Show with David Letterman; a couple of months back I was watching a show recently after the Apple IPhone came out, and they came up with this hilariou clip, and still is my favorite clip on YouTube. I love how the audience at first thinks its real, but when the light flashed over it, they laughed.

This video is one of those spoofs of the Mac vs. PC commercials, but the catch on these, is that the PC guy, funniest guy ever in letterman skits, always wins.

(I'm not sure what's more remarkable - that Florida committed six errors or that Hanley Ramirez didn't have any of them.) Or maybe you'll be the one to mess things up by -- just coming up with a totally hypothetical example here -- forgetting to rotate A.J. Burnett into the lineup the day he strikes out 11.
